I want to be the Gaming Society’s Treasurer because I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about ensuring the society runs smoothly from a financial perspective. Managing budgets, tracking expenses, and handling ticket purchases or refunds are responsibilities I am confident in handling with accuracy and transparency. I have past experience in managing finances and I am keen on making sure members of this society have a smooth experience, as I have been ensuring in my role as LOL Admin in varsity season. By keeping clear financial records, I can help ensure that the society remains financially stable and can continue to provide great events, tournaments, and resources for its members. Additionally, as the secondary liaison to the Student Union, I would be committed to maintaining good communication and ensuring all financial processes comply with their guidelines. I want to contribute to the society’s success by making sure our funds are used wisely to benefit all members and create the best experiences possible.
Hi there! My name is Jvan, and I am a second year maths student.
Hosting numerous events, both online and offline, as the Valorant Admin, has given me the opportunity to foster an amazing community. I have developed my organisational skills in coordinating with the community, committee and other universities. Also, due to a number of society purchases via my events, as a game admin, I am very aware of the financial process while working with the Treasurer. As such, if elected, I believe streamlining communication would be a great step forward.
Furthermore, my experience as the UCLG Outreach Officer only enhanced my insight into how this society is run. Being part of the committee these past few months has been incredibly fun and rewarding – not only because I was able to work alongside an amazing, talented team, but also I was intrigued to learn about each of their individual roles within the society. Through this experience, I learnt a lot about the role of the Treasurer. Although their priority is managing the financial spreadsheets and liaising the society accounts, they are also a principal officer who supports the President in steering the society in the right direction: A role I firmly believe I have the capabilities for.
My passion for this society speaks for itself. I truly wish to continue contributing my dedication, care and enthusiasm. Therefore, I believe taking on the role of Treasurer is the best way for me to help push UCLG to even greater heights.
