Hello everyone, I’m Jane and I have always had a deep passion for gaming and getting the most out of the society memberships.
My first experience in a similar role happened back in high school when I managed to make a small, unpromising engineering project get presented at a major national technology fair alongside industry giants. This experience taught me resilience, outreach skills, and creative problem-solving.
Being part of the RUMS Welfare subcommittee this year, I have applied these skills in event organisation, including venue selection and catering options negotiation. It also taught me skills applicable to any team or committee such as professional communication, workload distribution and time management.
As your Outreach Officer, I believe I can bring that same persistence and creativity to help potential partners notice us—and bring unique perks to our members.
As an Outreach Officer, I will aim to:
- Secure exclusive offers on gaming hardware and accessories so members can access quality equipment at a discount.
- Explore opportunities to collaborate with Esports teams, providing insights into the gaming scene in the UK and beyond.
- Host events with gaming and Esports personalities, creating chances to hear directly from the experts and streamers who inspire our community.

I am passionate about expanding the society’s reach and creating valuable connections with external organizations and brands. I have enjoyed being the LOL Admin and the team competitions and offline events have been some of my favourite memories. By securing sponsorships and partnerships, I can help provide better resources, exciting events, and new opportunities for members of UCLG to engage with. I have strong communication skills and experience that would allow me to build relationships with companies that align with our society’s vision. I am eager to bring fresh ideas to attract sponsorships, such as hosting collaborative tournaments and brand partnerships. I hope to elevate the society’s presence while ensuring that members benefit from high-quality experiences and opportunities, getting to meet and make friends with like minded people along the way.
