Dear Members,
I’m Agathe, and I’m excited to run for VP of Quant Ventures at UCL Fintech Society.
A bit about me: I’m a Management Science student with a minor in Engineering Mathematics, I love quant finance, trading, and fintech, and I’ve spent way too much time tweaking Python and R models to predict market moves (spoiler: markets don’t care).
As an executive since last June, Fintech Soc has been an incredible part of my year, and I’ve seen just how much one person can bring to the society.
My vision for next year: Make Quant Ventures bigger, better, and bolder.
- More industry speakers from hedge funds, fintech firms, and quant trading desks.
- Hands-on quant workshops where we build models, not just talk about them.
- A trading challenge: because nothing brings a room of finance and tech passionates together like competition (and maybe some prizes).
- Collaborations with other societies—because quant is everywhere, and we should be too: Quant Soc, Investment, Data Science, Poker (PS: I’m the current Treasurer of Poker Soc so collaborative tournaments would be pretty simple to organize for all the poker lovers in the society).
At the end of the day, I love this space. I’ve worked in VC, consulting, M&A, and markets, and I know what makes fintech and quant exciting. I want to make sure Quant Ventures is a place where you learn, connect, and leave with an edge in finance and tech.
So, vote for me, and let’s take Quant Ventures to the next level.

Hello! I’m Yuvi an Information Management student with a strong passion for the evolving landscape of quantitative finance, data-driven investing, and algorithmic trading. FinTech is reshaping financial markets, and I want to ensure that Quant Ventures becomes a hub for students to explore, learn, and apply cutting-edge quantitative strategies in real-world financial applications.
Many students are interested in quantitative finance but lack the technical exposure. I will work on organizing hands-on workshops in Python, machine learning for trading, and portfolio optimization, helping members gain practical skills essential for careers in quant finance. I will also secure partnerships with hedge funds, trading firms, and FinTech startups to provide networking opportunities, insight sessions, and exclusive case competitions where students can showcase their skills to industry professionals. Finally, whether you're a seasoned coder or just starting, Quant Ventures should be a space where students can collaborate, learn from each other, and grow. I will introduce mentorship programs and peer-led coding sessions to ensure that all members feel supported.
By voting for me, you are choosing a Vice President who is committed to expanding opportunities and making Quant Ventures a powerhouse within UCL FinTech Society.
