Election post

I am Paul Politis, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student with a minor in Entrepreneurship, I’m excited to stand for Director of Partnerships at UCL’s Entrepreneurship Society, which I’ve been an executive this past year. My entrepreneurial journey began with founding my own businesses (beach bar in Greece), giving me firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities student entrepreneurs face.
This year has been transformative—I’ve successfully secured partnerships with Notion, EWOR, multiple startups, and I’m currently in talks with HSBC, Rothschild, Amazon, Aramco, proving my ability to close deals and foster meaningful relationships. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how to build strategic, high-value collaborations that bring real opportunities to students.
My vision for the society is built on four pillars:
- Expanding mentorship programs to connect students with successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
- Developing accessible funding pathways to support early-stage ventures.
- Strengthening our alumni network to leverage the incredible successes of past UCL entrepreneurs. Last year alone, 19 of Forbes' 30 Under 30 were UCL alumni. By fostering these connections, we can empower the next generation with mentorship, investment opportunities, and industry insights.
My goal is to position UCL as London’s premier hub for student entrepreneurship—a place where ambition meets opportunity. Let’s build something extraordinary together.
