Tas Hussain
  • As Founder and current Editor-in-Chief, I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue my work and solidify the works of the digi-zine for the next committee after I graduate. I've been involved in the English Society since first year and would love the opportunity to end third year on a strong note!
  • As of currently, I have experience in managing the 3 divisions of the 14 students working the magazine (Editors, Journalists and Graphic Designers), whilst also becoming skilled at Graphics through Canva myself - plus a little video editing here and there ;)
  • Further to this, I have been successful in ensuring the monthly release of each issue, hoping to explore the broad literary world and shed light on literature and language unknown to most (i.e. continuing the mission of the magazine!).
  • With the new academic year approaching, I hope to build a stronger social media presence and make the English Society accessible and welcome to all students regardless of the subject they study or the career path they wish to explore. With the other editors, we hope to look at short form video content as a way of expanding the reach of the magazine and doing collab social media challenges with other societies and student magazines to improve university culture and have everyone involved: whether you're a writer, an artist, a poet, or someone who has something to say and wants a place to showcase their work - Green & Gilded is welcome to all!
