Prisha Vadhel

I chose mechanical engineering for its potential to drive meaningful change, and I believe I’d be a strong candidate for EWB Vice President. In 2020, after discovering an NGO in India providing free prosthetic hands, I designed one for a school student, sparking my interest in engineering solutions with real-world impact.

I also contributed sustainability ideas to the EWB Design Challenge, helping conceptualize a Local Enterprise Hub in Scotland using renewable energy, local materials, and a ‘plant wall.’ As Vice President, I would build on the welcoming community I experienced by introducing weekly socials and collaborating with organizations like Engineers In Action to foster innovation and growth.

With leadership experience from running my sixth form engineering society, where I led my team to success in the Imperial Innovation competition 2024, and as a STEM ambassador organizing workshops to inspire younger generations, I am eager to help make EWB a hub for innovation and collaboration. My experience as a senior prefect has further developed my organizational and communication skills, equipping me to work effectively with the EWB team and drive impactful projects.

I’m excited to contribute to EWB’s growth, promoting sustainable solutions and a dynamic, inclusive community.
