Hi everyone, I’m Gaby! You might remember me as last year’s Activities Coordinator, and this year, I’m excited to take the next step—running for President of the EWB Society. First, I want to send my best wishes to our graduating upperclassmen, I hope to carry forward their legacy and build upon it.
As a Masters of Engineering for Sustainable Built Environment, Energy and Resources student, I’m deeply inspired by the power of thoughtful engineering to serve communities. EWB has been an incredible space for me to channel this passion, and I’d love the opportunity to refine and expand our society. If elected, I plan to introduce more activities and socials, improve the EWB Challenge, and create a more organized, engaging experience for all members. Some ideas include organizing volunteer work for engineering causes, as well as fundraising — like bake sales or other creative initiatives we can develop together. I want to foster an open discussion within the group, encouraging collaboration and fresh ideas. Additionally, I’d love to organize more socials and engineering-themed pub quizzes to create stronger connections within our community.
