Election post

I am standing for this position as I want to make an impact on the engineering students at UCL and the engineering society. Having attended multiple events of the UCL Engineering Society, I recognised the importance of having strong industry connections, as it provides meaningful experiences and strong connections for students when they look for internships and graduate and enter the job market, be it in engineering, finance, or other industries.
The connections that the Engineering society has with companies thus allows us to host and run many events that can add to our student body's CV's and better equip them for the future. Receiving sponsorship from these businesses gives us the opportunity to broaden our scope of events, and hence we can reach more students in the engineering faculty and improves both the current wellbeing and interest of students in the society.
Thus, I think that being a sponsorship executive is a position that allows me to implement changes and improvements to the Engineering Society and our members. Furthermore, it allows me to improve my networking skills so that in the future I could run for higher, more important positions.
