Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’m excited to run for the role of Marketing Executive for the Engineering Society! I’m eager to bring creativity and strategy to promote our society’s events and initiatives.

As a Marketing Executive, I will ensure the following:

  • Clear Communication: Deliver all information and event details in a timely, engaging, and professional manner, ensuring members are well-informed and excited to participate.
  • Creative Campaigns: Develop innovative marketing strategies, including eye-catching social media content, email newsletters, and promotional materials, to showcase the value of our events and initiatives.
  • Strong Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, industry professionals, and other societies to enhance our events and create more opportunities for members.

Reflecting on my experience in high school as a co-founder of a student organisation, I’ve developed strong skills in creativity, strategic planning, and communication. These experiences have prepared me to take on this role and contribute to the growth and success of the Engineering Society.

Thank you for your support! Together, let’s elevate the Engineering Society’s presence and create a vibrant, engaged community!

Sahena Hurburun

Stepping into the role of Marketing Executive for the Engineering Society feels like a natural step for me—a blend of my analytical prowess and creative flair. With a strong foundation in strategic analysis and problem-solving from my pursuits in financial services and consulting, I've developed a knack for breaking down complex ideas into clear, engaging messages. I believe that marketing, at its core, is about storytelling—crafting narratives that resonate and inspire action.

My proactive approach to learning means I'm always diving deep into subjects, seeking not just to understand but to master. This diligence reflects how I'd tackle marketing initiatives: thoroughly, thoughtfully, and with an eye for detail.

Moreover, my passion for creating inviting spaces—be it through home improvement or community building—aligns with a key goal: making the Engineering Society a hub where members feel connected and engaged.

I plan to:

Craft compelling narratives that showcase our society's value and attract new members.

Utilize data-driven insights to fine-tune our outreach, ensuring we're meeting members where they are.

Infuse fresh, creative ideas into our marketing efforts, drawing from diverse fields to stand out.

I'm excited about the chance to contribute my unique blend of skills and passions to the Engineering Society. Together, we can amplify our impact and create experiences that resonate long after the events conclude.
