From the moment I joined EMS, I felt welcomed into this community that has given me incredible opportunities—whether meeting like-minded people or even playing at Corsica Studios. As Welfare Officer, I want every member to feel the same sense of belonging.

I want to grow and strengthen our community by encouraging more informal meetups where all members, regardless of experience, feel welcomed. I also want to ensure that DJs, whether beginners or experienced, have access to the resources they need.

Supporting FLINTA* members is another key priority. This year’s committee has made amazing progress in promoting underrepresented voices, and I want to ensure this continues, such as through diverse lineups at our events.

I also wish to host more events with SSDP to continue supporting the valuable work they have been doing in drug safety and harm reduction.

EMS has given me so much, and I’d love the chance to give back by ensuring it remains a safe, supportive and inclusive community.

What I have appreciated most about EMS is how open, supportive and inclusive this community is. I want to reinforce this by continuing to make EMS more than just a fun and sociable society, but one that cares about its members and brings a sense of belonging and community.

As a medical student I have always seeked opportunities learning to be more approachable, supportive and proactive.  My volunteering history and large experience in a variety of teaching roles has given me the skills I want to carry and continue to develop in my role as welfare officer.

EMS has brought so much to my life as a university student, which I am truly grateful for. I would love the opportunity to give back to this community and find this is the right role to do it.
