EMS was the very first society I joined as a UCL fresher, and having added to my uni experience in so many ways since then, I want to make sure I give back all that I can to it in my final year here. + I do management science so hopefully I should be good at managing it 👍

Hi, I’m Guillaume, a French and British student at UCL studying MPharm. I'm a huge fan of electronic/dance music across many genres, and I’m also a DJ. EMS has been a huge part of my university experience, and I’m applying for president because I want to give back to the society that has been integral to meeting some of my closest friends. What I love most about EMS is its inclusivity, and as a gay man that sense of belonging has made me feel truly at home.
I have experience organizing events and strong connections in the London electronic music scene. I’ve recently set up my own promoter and performed for various others. I’d love to bring ‘EMS takeover’ parties to life while keeping the classic and beloved Corsica Studios nights running.
As president, I’d focus on building collaborations with external promoters, offering more opportunities for members, and ensuring EMS events are inclusive, affordable, and accessible. I’m also passionate about continuing DJ lessons, the DJ decks lending scheme, and collaborating with other societies to bring fresh ideas to EMS. I particularly enjoy attending the socials, which I plan to keep running as they are a brilliant excuse to converse with fellow members and strengthen the community.
I’m excited about the opportunity to lead EMS, and I’d be honoured to receive your vote!
Thank you,
Guillaume

I believe I should be president of the Electronic Music Society at UCL because I’m passionate about electronic music and dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive space for everyone. I want to bring together students who share a love for electronic music, whether they’re producers, DJs, or simply fans. My goal is to organize events, workshops, and socials that allow everyone to learn, collaborate, and enjoy the music they love.
I’m a good listener and believe in making sure every member has a say in what we do. With my organizational skills, I can help run smooth events and connect with other groups and artists to bring exciting opportunities to our society. From guest performances to informal jam sessions, I want to make our society a place where everyone feels welcome and inspired.
As president, I would work hard to make sure the Electronic Music Society at UCL continues to grow, offering something for everyone who’s interested in electronic music. Let’s create a community where students can connect, learn, and have fun together!
