With experience in strategic partnerships and event execution, I understand the crucial role of funding, sponsorship, and financial management in a society’s success. Having led the Women’s Network Career Panel, securing five top-tier professionals from Goldman Sachs, J.P. Michelle Zhou

Dear EFS Members,

I am Michelle, a third-year maths student running for Director of Business. With more than 5 years of society leadership experience I am currently a VP of Alumni relations at EFS where I have gained hands on knowledge about organising large-scale events. This is demonstrated in my partaking in organising events based on our member’s opinions, such as the Alumni Networking event where we hosted four key professionals in banking. I have gained professional experience as a summer analyst at Kaiyuan Securities and a spring intern at Citadel. Using my knowledge to obtain these roles I know I can similarly launch you into future success in summers and springs.

My agenda:

Events - I will bring valuable career support in the business sector from EFS to you. With a focus on key figures who will teach our members about the skills needed to succeed in these departments.

Growth - To include more career support in sectors in the business industry such as PE, Consulting, and VC, along with workshops tailored to these industries specifically so you can broaden your knowledge.

Collaboration - Increasing the amount of consulting and business firms we collaborate with so that you can have more office visits and networking opportunities to assist you breaking into your dream industry.

I am passionate about empowering each of you to achieve your career aspirations. Together, we can make EFS a platform for growth, opportunity, and success.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Mandheep Dasi

Hi everyone,

I'm Mandheep, an Economics student running to be your Director of Business at EFS.

I know that breaking into a corporate role within any business can be difficult without the right insight. That's why, as Director of Business, I'll ensure that EFS becomes the go-to launchpad for students pursuing careers in consulting or finance.

My experience with BCG and Blackmont Consulting has given me first hand exposure to consulting's demands, while my internship at UBS introduced me to the intricacies of finance. Combined with my role as treasurer of my school's finance society, I've gained a clear understanding of what it takes to build impactful networks and create opportunities for members – something I am determined to do at EFS.

My Agenda:

  • Diversify Opportunities: Create subdivisions of the Business Division to include consulting and alternative investment, ensuring students from all backgrounds find value in EFS.
  • Strengthen Partnerships: Building on our successful relationship with BCG, I'll push to forge ties with other top firms in Consulting and Venture Capital, delivering more targeted career and networking events.
  • Hands on Learning: Introduce more practical workshops on consulting case studies, with Competition teams who will compete externally.

With my first-hand experience, strong network, and proven leadership, I’m confident I can elevate our Business Division to new heights. Make sure you vote Mandheep!

Thomas Wang

I am excited to run for the role of Business Director at EFS. With a strong foundation in financial strategy and consulting—developed through my experience as a regular trader and winning the UK National Final for the Accuracy Business Cup Consulting Competition—I look forward to transforming the Business division into a proactive, hands-on force within EFS.

Introducing Targeted Sub-Divisions

  • Establish three new subdivisions: Consulting, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship/Venture Capital.
  • Intensive workshops and programs across all subdivisions, targeting relevant industry skills. For example, we will equip students with the skills to build successful startups and navigate the VC funding landscape by connecting students with investors, mentors, and real-world pitching opportunities.
  • Weekly newsletter covering consulting, real estate, and entrepreneurship news, interview prep, and brain teasers.

Enhancing Practical Exposure

  • Incorporating round-table discussions and networking sessions alongside fireside chats to help our members build stronger industry connections.
  • Create dedicated case competition teams, collaborating with other societies to host regular competitions and compete externally.
  • Launch an annual varsity consulting competition, judged by business executives, industry professionals, and alumni.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I hope to earn your support in bringing these initiatives to life and work alongside you to create new opportunities for all
