Mary McHarg

Hi! I'm Mary, and I'd love to be Drama Soc's next treasurer! :) When I'm not LARPing, I'm doing an MA in Art Education - hopefully you've seen me either fooling around on stage or directing a show you watched. I'm massively invested in seeing Drama Soc grow from strength to strength, and I think I can make that happen!

As the former President and Activities Officer of the SU, I'm very familiar with the union's forms and reimbursement timelines, and have had to deal with society finances, contracts, and budgets for two years. I want to use this to make sure the producers and APs who put on our shows and festivals are reimbursed quickly, by working with each prod team to set up rolling reimbursements rather than waiting for the end of a production.

In my UG degree I did a lot of data and computer science, and I want to use that learning for evil the arts! With deliciously formatted spreadsheets, Gantt charts, and other productivity tools, I will make sure Drama Soc admin runs smoothly behind the scenes, so you all can focus on having a good time.

Finally - I want to train our newer members to be the next group of theatre makers at UCL! I want to work with Musical Theatre Society and Shakespeare Company to create events for people interested in putting on their own shows, so that aspiring producers, directors, writers, and more can meet each other, share what they want to do, and learn how things work in ArtsUCL. Hopefully this sounds good to you - if so, I'd love your vote :)
