I'm honoured to have contributed to the Disaster Risk Reduction Society as Publications Officer this year. From putting together the UN Workshop Report to helping shape our space at UCL, I've loved every opportunity to contribute to fostering innovation, collaboration and meaningful conversation. As President, I will strive to build on these foundations and create a society that leaves a lasting legacy within UCL.
With six years of experience in youth advocacy, sustainability, and humanitarian work— including developing a climate education app, For Planet, and serving as a Young Member of Parliament — I am eager to lead our society into its next chapter.
As President, I’ll focus on:
- Opening doors to volunteering, skill-building, and learning opportunities in the humanitarian sector.
- Creating an inclusive, accessible space where every student feels valued.
- Expanding our online presence through LinkedIn and Instagram posts showcasing members’ work and connecting them to opportunities.
- And of course ... lots of socials for us to get together and unwind - think coffee/ tea and paints, pub trips and more.
I pride myself on being a proactive leader, who strives to create an environment where everyone can thrive, learn and grow together.
I believe that as a society we can build a community that's both impactful and fun, building your social network and giving you the perfect all-round space within UCL.
