After being your first year rep, I realized I'd like to be much more involved in the society. 

These are the qualities that make me perfect for the role:

• I have a very strong experience in organization - I was the president of 2 teams back in high school which meant I constantly had to organize events for fundraising, or networking, or charity events. I know how adaptable and patient you have to be and I know how to lead a team.
• I am a first year rep so I understand how the society functions and it's strengths/limitations. I know how to work my way around it. Additionally, I also know what type of events my fellow first year reps crave - and I will make sure you get them.
• Lastly, I have a relationship with the existing committee. This not only helps the team dynamics improve, but also allows the execution of the events to be smoother and easier on the day. 

What I would do as a head of event:

• I would send out forms and surveys to understand what types of events not only the first years want but also the rest of the society.
• Reflection is the most important thing to better a society, I will understand what works well in events and what doesn't and make those changes in the upcoming events.
• Increase our collaborations with different societies and bring in new aspects of diplomacy as well like global development.
