Dance Society: Competitions Coordinator

Hi everyone! 

I’m Abby, aka the cow slipper-wearer of UCL dance comps! After having eaten, slept, and breathed dance competitions since I was 10 – competing in tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary and open – I know I’d be your perfect competitions coordinator! Not only am I a hype team player, able to ensure our team is so connected with such good energy we win every team spirit award…But I have the experience and skills to successfully ensure competitions run smoothly from the season’s start to the final trophy-filled photos!

My extensive training and versatility allow me to oversee choreographers of all styles, providing substantive feedback making dances shine! My experience managing & teaching competitive dance and being on 3 comps teams this season (choreographing 1 of them!), mean that auditions, registrations, and general comp admin is right up my alley and will be done effectively and efficiently. Finally, my previous leadership roles (i.e. National Honor Society President) have prepared me well in creating event calendars, managing finances, and liaising between teams and outside companies; my organizational and management abilities will enhance my performance as coordinator, making sure travel, accommodation, and overall BTS are handled with no bumps in the road (except maybe on the coach rides ...)! 

Competing & choreographing this season has been my favorite part of DanceSoc and next year will NOT disappoint. Thank you, I cannot wait to be YOUR competitions coordinator!!
