Cyber Security Society: Head of Events

I first found interest in cybersecurity on my two week work experience at the London Stock Exchange Group, where I had the amazing opportunity to shadow their cyber reporting team and learn first hand about various aspects of their department. Since joining UCL as an undergraduate CS student last September, I was very happy to find out that there exists a group of people who are passionate about cybersecurity and I believe I have learnt a lot from them through workshops, socials and other events.

While I must admit that my expertise regarding cybersecurity is still lacking and something I ought to continue improving on, I would love to contribute to growing this society over the next few years. I therefore believe that head of events would be the best suited role for me, as I would be able to best make use of my love of getting to know new people and bringing people together to spark interest for this society in others. My priorities lie in collaborating with other universities and societies as much as possible where appropriate, as well as organising frequent social events - building from the society that the previous committee has developed, and growing it even further for the future.
