I’m standing for the role of General Secretary for the Women's Cricket team because I’m passionate about making our club bigger, better, and more united. Key goals are:

  1. Personalised Club Kits: I want to create custom kits for everyone, including hoodies, tracksuits, and windbreakers; this will help foster a sense of pride and unity within the team.
  2. Varied Training Locations: I’ll work to provide opportunities for us to train and play on different pitches, giving the team valuable experience and increasing our adaptability on various surfaces.
  3. Skill Development Workshops: I will help to arrange for guest coaches or workshops focusing on specific skills, whether batting, bowling, or fitness to help players at all levels improve.
  4. Increased Involvement in the University:I will work to raise awareness of the team and encourage more students to join, creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
  5. Player Mentorship Program: I will create a mentorship program where experienced players can guide beginners. This will help newer members feel supported and give them a direct point of contact for advice and encouragement.

I’m excited about the opportunity to be part of a team that’s focused on growing together and achieving more, and I’m ready to go the extra mile to make it happen!

Being part of the cricket society this year has been a great experience, from meeting new people to getting involved in a new sport. As General Secretary, I’d love to help keep things running smoothly, whether that’s helping to organise training and socials, ordering kit, or providing support to the rest of the committee in any way I can. I want to make sure the society continues to grow and remains a fun, welcoming space for everyone.
