Hi, I'm Osbert, and I aim to connect you with the industry's best, helping you build a strong network for actionable advice and career insights.
As First-Year Rep for UCLCS Mentorship, I am familiar with our current logistics and know where we can innovate. I have also recruited and paired 100+ participants for a research project and acted on feedback from 300 students as Course Rep. Thus, I have mastered my people management and organisational skills, and am confident in hearing your needs to pair you with the perfect mentor. Moreover, as a psychology major, I understand the value of learning via human connection and the hurdles of breaking into consulting, especially for those with little consulting exposure or studying non-business subjects.
Hence, here’s my vision:
- Diversifying Mentors: Expanding mentor base to consultants from more varied, non-traditional academic and career backgrounds.
- Mentorship Reels and Podcasts: Create easily accessible mentor Q&As on social media.
- Lasting Connections: Curate mentor socials and pairings not only based on career goals, but also shared interests and culture. I hope to connect you with a long-term mentor who lasts beyond your time at UCL.
- Mentee Support: Regular feedback system and backup mentors to avoid unsupported mentees (my mentor last year ghosted me, so I'm committed to resolving such issues!).
