Hey Everyone,

I’m Prantanil, and I’m running for Treasurer of the Computer Science Society (CSS) for 2025-2026.

This year, I’ve been the Events Lead for the Data Science Society, and I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside CSS on several events, including HackLondon.

Being on the committee of a large technical society has shown me just how chaotic running big events can be. There are a million moving parts, and it’s surprisingly easy to overspend on things that don’t always add value. That’s why my first and only priority as Treasurer will be making sure the society’s budget is spent on events and initiatives that actually matter to you.

CSS has done an amazing job in the past, putting on large-scale events and competitions that people genuinely enjoy. My goal is to build on that success and make sure every pound is put to good use, whether that’s through bigger events, better socials, or ensuring we can continue offering amazing prizes for our competitions.
