Maulik Tripathi

I have accumulated two years of experience as part of the UCL CSS committee. Initially serving as an events executive, I contributed to the successful execution of various events, including organizing a talk by Simon Peyton Jones, the creator of the Haskell programming language.

Advancing to the role of Head of Events in my second year, I organised the Neuphonic hackathon hosted at Google headquarters, where students utilized Neuphonic's AI speech processing tools to pioneer innovative solutions to different problems. This event was done in partnership with UCL AI society and UCL Data Science Society. Additionally, I played a key role in coordinating the CSS Winter Wonderland trip held in December. Beyond event organization, I have actively supported CSS initiatives such as weekly bootcamps and social gatherings throughout this year.

This extensive experience has equipped me with a strong understanding of the society's operations, and a proven ability to organise impactful events. If entrusted with this role, I will be committed to elevating the quality of the society to new heights.

Raahym Rehan

I am Raahym Rehan, running for the position of Head of Events for the Computer Science Society. I believe that well-organized events not only energize our community but also provide the spark for innovative ideas and meaningful connections. My experience as the Events Officer for the UCL Mathematics Society has given me a solid background in planning and executing successful workshops, socials, and interactive sessions that bring students together in a collaborative environment.

In this role, I desire to design a vibrant calendar of events that cater specifically to our interests as computer science enthusiasts. I aim to create hackathons that challenge us to think critically under pressure, technical workshops that focus on emerging technologies, and panel discussions that bring industry experts directly to our community. My goal is to build an atmosphere where practical learning, playful competition, and creative networking are all integral parts of our experience, inspiring every member to actively contribute and innovate.

I am committed to clear communication and efficient coordination, ensuring that every event is not only engaging and memorable but also runs smoothly and supports the overall growth of our society. I am eager to bring my energy and proven experience to exactly that position, and look forward to creating a dynamic future for the Computer Science Society.
