Thank you for your time.

My name is Raahym Rehan, and I am running for the role of Events Executive in the Computer Science Society. As the Events Officer for the UCL Mathematics Society, I have successfully organized workshops and socials that brought our community together and fostered learning and collaboration. Building on that experience, I am excited to introduce similar innovative events to the CS Society.
I plan to organize hackathons that not only challenge our coding skills but also provide opportunities to network with industry professionals. I envision interactive panel discussions featuring experts from top tech companies, themed socials that spark creativity, and hands-on workshops addressing emerging technologies. These events will be designed to engage all members and create a vibrant community where ideas flourish.
I truly believe that the CS Society can be the pulse of technological innovation on campus, offering a platform for networking, learning, and fun. I am committed to using my leadership experience and passion for technology to create events that inspire, educate, and unite us. I look forward to working with you to build a dynamic society that serves all our interests and enhances our collective growth.
Thank you for your support.

CSS has been a huge part of my university experience. Through hackathons, panel talks, and socials, I’ve met so many amazing new people, made great connections, and had some of my best moments at UCL. I’m running for Events Executive to help create more of those experiences and be part of the team that keeps this community thriving!
In sixth form, I founded Taylor’s Myanmar Society from scratch, handling everything from outreach to event planning. I learned how to grow a community, get people involved, and build a strong support network. As Projects & Events Executive for a volunteering society, I helped run large-scale volunteering events that brought people together for a cause. Now, as Social Secretary of UCL’s Burmese Society, I work on events that keep the society active and make sure members feel connected.
With that experience, I want to make CSS’ events even bigger and better!
That means:
- more hackathons and competitions – with exciting themes, industry sponsors, and opportunities to learn and develop your skills
- more socials for us to meet new people and get to know each other better
- trips and outings (think company/site visits, field trips to go exploring, and anything else to make us touch more grass really)
- more engaging networking and industry events – more interactive formats, more useful connections, and more opportunities that actually help students, rather than just another panel talk
I'm super excited to bring people together and make university life more exciting!

Hello everyone,
I'm Lincoln and I'm excited to nominate myself for Events Executive of the Computer Science Society. My experiences and passion have led me to step up and dedicate myself to the improvement of the society, and I believe that this role is well placed to achieve that vision.
During high school, I served as the president of our Computer Club, where I oversaw the committees responsible for activities and publications to ensure smooth functioning of the club. In this period I have also organized a programming competition that garnered 90+ submissions from students. Participating in other UCL societies as a subcommittee member has further enriched my experiences of collaborating and working as a team, especially in the context of a completely student-run society.
I aim to collaborate with the committee members, the department, and other societies to deliver a smooth and fruitful experience for everyone, be it in the form of career talks, workshops or social events. CSS to me has always been about engaging all members of the society and CS community, in order to improve our uni lives, one way or another. I'm very eager to embrace the challenge and take on a greater responsibility within the society.
