Hey everyone!
Having joined UCLMC last year, I can confirm that most of my time spent supposedly climbing has been more productively used yapping and visiting The Brownswood. That being said, in the coming year, I aim to continue down this pathway by running for social sec, where I promise to cook up some funky socials, both climbing and non-climbing related, and continue the lovely traditions formed by previous society members!
Here's my offerings of what I can provide:
- Many amazing socials, such as trips to new climbing centres, pub crawls, and much more
- Emotional climbing support - as a psych student, I'll be able to uncover your deep rooted psychological issues while you're on the wall, which is guaranteed to improve your climbing performance
- A friendly face for new and returning climbers alike; I know that joining a new group can seem a bit intense, so hopefully I could make that experience slightly easier
- A singular slice of sourdough toast for anyone that votes for me (not really I can't be exposed for bribery hem hem)
Maisy :) x

Hi everyone!
At the club this year I've had a great time meeting loads of new people and I have felt that UCLCMC has been very welcoming to everyone. Climbing is one of those sports with such a supportive atmosphere that I want to try and share it with others.
As I'm pretty new to climbing I want to help other people have the great experiences I got when joining this club, especially the socials and fun competitions. What I want to do is organise social events for all levels and try and plan more inter-uni events with the other London universities. I also want to be a friendly face to all climbers in the club to continue to foster the amazing atmosphere of the club. I believe in creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their climbing ability.
While you may not see me at the pub :( [sorry] you can definitely see me around at the castle and other bouldering gyms. If you ever see me, feel free to to say hi or ask any questions and I will try my best to help. I hope to be one of your new social secs next year. Thanks :)
