Civil Engineering Society: President

Hi, I'm Celine and I’m running for Civil Engineering President because I want to contribute to our department and help make it a better place for all students. As a second-year civil engineering student, I’ve already gained a good understanding of the course and the challenges we face.  I have practical leadership experience from my time as Head Student at my sixth form, where I led teams and organised large-scale events. This experience taught me how to manage responsibilities, communicate effectively, and work with others to achieve shared goals. If elected, I’ll focus on improving academic support, creating more networking opportunities, and organising events that bring students together.  Being born and raised in London, I’ve grown up in a diverse and dynamic environment, which has taught me the importance of inclusivity and adaptability—qualities I’ll bring to this role. Also, I’ll work to ensure better communication between students and faculty, so our concerns and ideas are heard. I’m committed to working hard and making practical changes that benefit everyone. I believe my background, skills, and dedication make me a strong candidate for this role.
