Abhiraami Jegatheesan

I am Abhiraami and as a fellow civil engineering student, I know how tough it can be to navigate internships, placements, and career opportunities in civil engineering. Having gone through various application processes myself and being successful at securing internships at Morgan Sindall- BakerHicks for every year of my studies I truly understand how valuable industry connections are. But I also know that many students struggle to find the right opportunities or even know where to start. That is why if I am elected as an Industrial officer I will make our Civil Engineering Society a real bridge between students and industry. Using my existing position as an ICE student ambassador I’ll work to bring in top companies for networking events, insightful industry talks, and site visits-not just generic career fairs, but opportunities that genuinely help students get their foot in the door. I’m proactive, organized, and passionate about making these opportunities more accessible for all of us. If you want a society that actively helps you build your career, vote me, Abhiraami as your Industrial Officer!
