The Cheese Grater has had an amazing year, and I'm standing for Editor-in-Chief because I don't want this momentum to die!

Being Co-Investigations Editor this year, and more broadly, being a part of this publication, has been the highlight of my time at UCL. I'm committed to making sure The Cheese Grater has its best year yet. Here are some ways in which I plan to do that:

  • Running 'Journalism Skills' workshops outside of regular meetings. This will include the EICs, News and Investigations Editors, and Humour Editors going over the different aspects of being a journalist. This could be reviewing an article you're writing, discussing interview tips and strategies, fact-checking a piece, or addressing any other editorial concerns.
  • Expanding our social media presence to TikTok, not just through videojournalism but also by posting radio show snippets, stories from the Digestive, and general promotional content.
  • Publishing the Digestive and recording the radio show regularly, just as we did this year.
  • And, of course, fulfilling any other constitutional requirements.

Most importantly, I'd like to continue and build on CG's long tradition of being pesky as hell, and bothering, interrogating and irritating UCL management and the Students' Union. They're paid to work for our interests, so we're obliged to question them and make sure they're doing a good job!

I'm running out of characters now, but I would be honoured to be an Editor-in-Chief of this incredible publication!
