Shuvam Dhakal

Hi, everyone. I am Shuvam, a first year BSc Politics and IR student. I am excited to be running to become your Vice President of the Consulting Division.

My journey with the Business Society began with the DECA Competition. Since then, I’ve actively engaged in the society's activities, such as competing in the Impact Investment Championship, where my team and I secured the Runner-up position

My three main pledges as the VP of the Consulting Division are:

  1. Regular casing sessions: Introduce weekly informal (sometimes formal) casing sessions for members.
  2. Networking and mentorship opportunities: Invite consulting experts/professionals from MBB and other firms.
  3. Community Engagement: Building a community of aspiring consultants and like-minded people

I have furthered my consulting experience and business acumen by working in start-ups and a student-run consulting firm (Blackmont). I also secured first place in the UCL Case Study Competition, earning the opportunity to represent UCL at the Consulting Summit. Regarding my leadership, I captained my high-school basketball team to several tournaments and served as the President of Model G20 (an annual event).

I would love your support in making this an exciting and impactful year together!

Talal Imam

I’m running for the VP of Consulting in the Business Society because I want to create an experience that’s both impactful and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re set on a career in consulting or just curious about what it involves.

Having worked on consulting projects for NGOs and participated in various case competitions, I’ve seen how powerful problem-solving skills can be. Consulting is all about tackling complex challenges, breaking down issues, finding creative solutions, and delivering real impact. I want to help more students develop these transferrable skills in a way that’s accessible and engaging.

If elected, I’d introduce workshops that simplify key concepts, hands-on case study sessions to build practical skills, and fun team-based competitions where members can apply what they’ve learned. I also want to create a welcoming space where people feel comfortable stepping out of their comfort zones — whether they’re new to consulting or already experienced.

My goal is to make the Business Society’s consulting division a place where members can connect, grow, and gain the confidence to tackle any challenge. With your support, I’m excited to make that vision a reality, all whilst ensuring the experience is enjoyable for all members!

Snehit Shroff

I am standing for the position of VP of Consulting at UCL Business Society to leverage my experience in strategy consulting, financial analysis, and market research to empower students and aspiring consultants. My professional journey has reinforced my passion for leadership, impact, and mentorship, and I am committed to enhancing the opportunities available within the UCL Business Society.

Through my roles at Blackmont Consulting and London Strategic Consulting, I have worked on complex strategic and financial projects across industries such as biotech, healthcare, and Edtech. These experiences have honed my problem-solving abilities, client management skills, and financial modeling expertise, all of which are critical for success in consulting. However, I recognise that many students face challenges in gaining practical exposure to the industry, making structured mentorship and hands-on experience invaluable.

As Consulting Director, my vision is to strengthen UCL Business as a platform for skill development, professional growth, and community-building by:

  • Enhancing training initiatives to equip members with practical consulting frameworks, case-solving methodologies, and financial modeling skills.
  • Fostering a strong and supportive network where students can collaborate, exchange insights, and receive mentorship.
  • Expanding high-impact projects that provide real-world experience, enabling members to develop the analytical and strategic capabilities required for top consulting roles.

I am eager to contribute my

Lea Cheung

Hi, I’m Lea, and I’m running to be your next VP of Consulting!

This year, I’ve had the privilege of organising high-profile events under the Innovation and Enterprise Division, including the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Competition talk, the Spring Week Panel, and our welcome event. These experiences strengthened my event planning, communication, and leadership skills, as well as my ability to work under pressure.

As an executive in both UCL Consulting Society and Business Society, I’ve seen how peer support and industry exposure greatly impact students' consulting career prospects. As VP of Consulting, I’ll work to enhance both.

My Vision: A More Interactive & Impactful Consulting Division

  • Case Buddy System – Pair members for structured case prep.
  • Industry Connections – Organize panels, fireside chats & networking events with top firms.
  • Stronger Partnerships – Deepen ties with LSC, CCN, and consulting firms.
  • Hands-on TrainingRegular workshops & application prep for top roles.

With my leadership experience, including as Deputy Engagement Manager at Cambridge Consulting Network, I believe I have the skills & drive to take this division further. Vote for me, and let’s create more opportunities together!

Maya Mlika

Being a fashion industry enthusiast, I am a frequent listener of the Business of Fashion podcast. I love understanding the mechanisms that make the success of today’s leaders. This initiated my interest in strategy consulting. So rather than blindly apply ‘one-size-fits-all’ frameworks, I learned how certain decisions could shape businesses according to real-world cases.

As Vice President of consulting, I would like to provide a fresh perspective by which we can view consulting. The Business Society consulting division should not be limited to be a means for securing a certain career, but an environment that sparks genuine curiosity and continuous growth for our members. My learning mindset allowed me to secure a Deloitte spring internship and to work on an actual consulting project with 180 Degrees Consulting.

Having attended the Harvard Model United Nations conference for two years, I learned to refine my communication methods and make the most out of intellectual diversity to solving actual-world conflicts. Active listening is the root of all negotiation and I am eager to apply the lessons I have learned to expand our network.
