My time at the UCLBC over the last two years—especially my time on committee over the last year—has shown me just how much work it takes to keep this club afloat. I’m running for Vice President because I want to help make sure everything keeps moving—efficiently, smoothly, and without unnecessary stress. Our future President and Treasurer will already have their hands full—I want to step in to support them, ensuring that the club runs at full speed both on and off the water. Whether it be being the point of contact between leadership and the rest of the club or dealing with the endless piles of admin that running the club entails, I promise to help out in whatever way I can.
But what would the UCLBC be if not for looseness? I also hope to maintain the exceptional levels of Loose present at our big events. Be it Boat Ball or the Christmas and Summer Dinners, I aim to continue the tradition of well-organized events that bring all of us together and keep the spirit of UCLBC alive.
I think the fact that I still want to be on committee after being NM Captain for a year shows that you can (hopefully) count on me as your VP. So, for a loose and well-run club, please do consider voting. And bleed purple!
