Hi everyone! In case you don’t know me I’m a second year architecture student and UCLBC has become a massive part of my university life since learning to row last year.
Being able to pick up a new sport like rowing at UCL was an amazing experience through which I have made friends for life. I’d like to promote rowing so that others can also try the sport we know and love. Often rowing is seen to be a less accessible sport and I’m excited by the opportunity to share how training works and the club in general so that there is less of a boundary.
We all know how much social media and promotion affects us, and frequent, friendly posts by UCLBC is one way we can grow. I think it would be interesting to include more of the personal and fun side of the club through the media platforms, whether it’s the super happy fun times sessions or cute group moments from land training. I also think it is important to include different perspectives in the club and would aim to include content from all the different squads.
One of my favourite elements of my degree is the graphic design aspect. I can create graphics and promotional material using design platforms in both a professional and fun manner. Having always loved art and design, this will make me a good choice for this role.
