I want to make UCL’s Biotechnology Society a place of innovation, career growth, and community, ensuring something happens every week—whether an industry event, social, or networking opportunity.

I will organize lab and industry visits to the Francis Crick Institute and startups like Native Labs and Hoxton Farms, using my industry connections to give members exposure to cutting-edge biotech. I will also launch UCL’s first Synthetic Biology Conference, featuring Dr Darren Nesbeth, Dr Stefanie Frank, and SynBioBeta experts, alongside a monthly podcast and a PhD & Postgrad Conference to help students explore research opportunities.

I will integrate iGEM into our society, working with UCL Biochemical Engineering to ensure all students, regardless of background, can compete in the world’s biggest synthetic biology competition. I will also collaborate with King’s, Imperial, and UCL’s Biopharmaceutical, Biochemistry, and Crook’s Societies to host hackathons, conferences, and networking events.

Beyond academics, I will enhance our social scene by organizing a major social every month, from pub crawls and golf to go-karting and ice skating, ensuring a fun and inclusive community. I will also set up a biotech networking group to connect students with internships, job opportunities, and industry professionals.

With something happening every week, let’s make UCL the place for biotech innovation. Vote for me, and let’s build something incredible together!
