Anisha Bhatia

Hi everyone! I’m Anisha, a first-year Biomedical Sciences student running for Vice President of the UCL Biopharmaceutical Society. My goal is to make this society the ultimate hub for career development, networking, and lifelong friendships in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Having benefited from the society’s mentorship and events, I’m passionate about giving back and ensuring every member has opportunities to grow academically, professionally, and socially.

If elected, I will:
- Expand career opportunities with networking events, CV workshops, and internship sessions.
- Strengthen industry connections through lab visits and office tours at leading Pharma and Biotech companies.
- Launch a mentorship programme pairing students with peers and professionals.
- Balance academics and socials with panel discussions, skill-building workshops, and fun events like a mid-year ball and pub nights.
- Develop practical skill workshops in lab techniques, data analysis, and scientific writing.
- Collaborate with other societies to bring diverse opportunities.

With 4 years of leadership experience, including leading a non-profit with a team of 200+ and organising large-scale events (one with 600+ attendees!), I’m confident in delivering impactful initiatives and fostering an inclusive community.

Let’s make this year unforgettable. Vote for Anisha as YOUR Vice President—because she’s here to help you (bio)FARM(a) those opportunities!

Phutthita Laomoraphorn

As a member of this society, I found the talk sessions of people who have experience in the industry really fascinating. They not only inspire me but also make me realize the fact of the obstacles they have overcome in their career. I also got to know people who shared their internship experience, and the suggestions on how to start. Attending those sessions always helped me understand more how science is applied into industry, and how I could improve myself to achieve my goal. I would like to become a part of this society to create more events which spark the interest of people in the same field, and provide opportunities for attendees to bring out and enhance their skills from a career perspective.
