The greatest poet of our generation, Kanye West, once said: “Having money isn't everything, not having it is.”

This profound quote perfectly sums up my financial management philosophy for Bioethics and Medical Law Society. We are not here to rip you off or make profit - but without money we simply cannot bring more fun and intellectually stimulating events to you.

As treasurer, I will guarantee that our society has the financial stability to support our activities. Through responsible budgeting and spending, I will maximise our resources to make every single dollar count, ensuring that we can host more discussions and create more opportunities to engage you. I am an excel warrior and a professional yapper, so I definitely have the skills necessary to meticulously manage money and relentlessly pursue further funding for our society.

Over the past year as your Events Officer, I have seen firsthand how funding can influence decisions at the committee level. Creative ideas alone are not enough to craft events; smart financial planning is necessary to turn them into a reality. Moving forward, my goal is to organise more initiatives surrounding timely and groundbreaking topics, while continuing the tradition of collaboration with other UCL societies. I will reach out to societies on the medical end to promote more discussion on medical law and emerging treatments.

Tldr: vote me for BMLsoc treasurer 2025 so we don't go broke
