BCMS Society: Treasurer

BCMS society, throughout my time being a member of it, has only provided a warm and welcoming community whose events manage to captivate me every time that I attend them. Initially, I joined it in order to experience the taste of the culture of my region abroad, but I stayed as well because of all the wonderful people that I met, and the amazing community that opened its doors for me, and everyone else interested in the culture of that beautiful part of the world. The way the society acts as a small home, far away from my own, and as a way to have a great time with amazing people, while experiencing everyone's unique takes on existing traditional culture of the Balkan region.
For these reasons, I want to help and contribute my own little part to the continuation of the society through next year, as well as working on improving it for the next year's members to experience the same amazing society that I had the opportunity to. I want to nominate myself for the position of the Treasurer, as I feel that I could best do this through this role, as I will be actively contributing to the sustainability of the society, as well as the feasibility of new fun and interesting events.. This way, I hope to be able to give back to this wonderful society, and to try to help it to continue to be a welcoming place of fun events and friendly people for many others.
