Baseball Club: Social Secretary

Since becoming a member of the society in Term 2, my highlight has definitely been getting to know everyone at the socials following the match days. I think it's been wonderful to see how the team have gelled during the short time I've been around, but I think there is room for improvement. As Social Sec, I would make sure that more of that same match day environment is brought into regular socials. I will organise events like watch parties, pub nights, and other events to make sure the society feels like more than just training. I'm so passionate about bringing everyone closer together to make the atmosphere friendlier but also to make those match day socials that even more chaotic and fun.

Hey everyone!

I'm standing to be one of the social secretaries next year because I was beyond excited to see the club start up this year and can't wait to see where it goes in Year 2. I've had a ton of fun going to practice sessions and playing in competitive games, and I want to do my part to make both the society and the team the best they can be. I've previously started and ran the Instagram account for my school's quizbowl team (@bxsciquizbowl for reference), as well as running the account for my school's sports debate club, where I kept everyone up to date on upcoming meetings and events as well as additional posts for engagement. As social secretary, I would also like to arrange for more social events, such as pub or coffee socials, baseball-themed quizzes, and anything else that you suggest!
