Asiatic Affairs Society: Treasurer

Asiatic Affairs has been an amazing society to be a part of from the start of the academic year, giving me an opportunity to extend my interests in the Asia region, regularly updating readers on the fortnightly blog and also committing time to writing information articles on nuanced but though-provoking research topics. I have had a great time collaborating with the committee members when publishing papers and simultaneously reading what other students have written about, showcasing their own unique curiosities and sharing their opinions on the matter. I wish to play a more significant role within this society, and so as treasurer, dealing with budgets and event spending, I will be able to be more proactive in the organisation of the society via its many socials and celebrations that it conducts, a role that I will have the greatest pleasure of adopting.
