Louis Zhu

Hi everyone,

I’m Louis, a current project team executive. Being involved in various societies, I’ve seen firsthand how a well organized, well funded student group can create incredible opportunities for learning, collaboration, and career growth. As treasurer, I’ll ensure the AI society has the financial strategy and resources to keep growing, innovating, and delivering the best experiences for its members.

AI Society is for everyone, no matter your background. As a second year science and technology studies student researching AI in the social sciences, I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to the team. My experience as president of my departmental society, VP and treasurer of three other societies has equipped me with the skills needed to support our ambitious projects and large scale events for the year ahead.

AI society has grown rapidly this year, from launching Nexus Labs and running hackathons to machine learning tutorials and securing partnerships with Bloomberg and Capgemini. To keep scaling, we need more substantial financial backing.

As treasurer, I’ll leverage my experience and network, and work closely with the president and sponsorship team to expand industry partnerships and sponsorships, and create meaningful opportunities for members.

Looking forward to another exciting year! Thank you for your support! 🚀

Migle Jauniskyte

Hi everyone! My name is Migle, and I’m currently spending my year abroad at Northwestern University, near Chicago, before returning to UCL as a Final Year Arts and Sciences student.
AI Society has shaped my time at UCL. Joining as a First Year Representative and later as a Welfare Officer not only inspired me to focus my academic and career path on Artificial Intelligence but also connected me with an amazing community of curious, like-minded people with whom I loved learning and sharing experiences.
Now, I want to create this same amazing experience of learning, engaging with AI for all UCL students. That’s why I’m running for Treasurer – to ensure our society has the financial stability and resources to continue expanding, innovating, and making AI accessible to all students.
My experience within the society over the years has given me insight into how to efficiently allocate resources to support the multitude of initiatives that the UCL AI Society covers. Having previously worked as a Treasurer for the UCL Lithuanian Society, I’m comfortable with the processes and strategies required for this role. I’m particularly excited to bring my skills of adaptability, analytical thinking, and strategic communication from finance and outreach-related roles within experiences in startups and internships in Chicago. I wish to focus on strategic budgeting, sponsorships, and meticulous planning – ensuring we have the funding and resources to provide the best opportunities for our members.
