With a passion in AI and being part of the Robotics and AI program, I am keen on making a difference and making our AI society one of the best AI societies in universities. This passion led me to taking part and getting top results in hackathons, and founding and managing an inter-school league for doing hackathons. I was able to acquire time-management, organisation and outreach skills through this initiative, which is vital for Head of Operations.
With regards to the society, I strongly believe that the opportunities provided to people are the defining factor for their success in terms of their knowledge in the subject and even possible future job prospects. With that in mind, I hope to make the society such that we have quality inter-university collaborations such as hackathons, inviting highly-requested speakers for panels, events, and others. Further, I plan to make the society roll out events and initiatives with ease by taking charge and managing the internal operations as the Head of Operations.
Beyond this, I would love to take part and be more involved in the AI society, given it is a rapidly inclining and established society among all universities. Having experienced and taken part in the ML tutorial series, I have found it to help expand my knowledge and want to do more initiatives as such to help the other/future members of the society.
I hope to make the society even more beneficial towards members and would love to take part in the society's journey.

Hi all,
My name is Danila. I am a 2nd-year Robotics and AI student passionate about building lasting connections, whether human-to-human or neuron-to-neuron. I have hosted large-scale events with 1000+ members, organized research competitions with 400+ participants, led teams to develop new products, and designed efficiency and research-based country-wide health campaigns.
Enough about me, though. Here are some things I’d like to do for the AI soc as Head of Operations next year:
- Career and Network: By bringing in the leading AI experts and recruiters, office visits, and co-hosting large inter-university hackathons, I hope to offer exclusive opportunities to all society members. (To make getting that dream internship a bit easier 😉)
- Talent Hub: Continuing to develop AI Foundry and other initiatives like Nexus Labs, I want to bring the most talented and driven people at UCL together to build start-ups and technology that matters.
- Casual Meetups: From cross-university pizza socials to pub crawls, I’d like to keep the atmosphere welcoming and fun, so we can bond, share ideas, and spark unexpected collaborations.
Let’s continue the legacy of AI soc being a place where you can develop your skills, expand your network, and build cool things together! 🚀
P.S. Check www.danilakozlov.com for more info on my background.

Whether it be building machine learning models or using ChatGPT to help with my assignments, I am extremely passionate about AI. This enthusiasm for AI has inevitably translated into my dedication to the AI Society.
Throughout the 2024/25 academic year, I have
-
Contributed to AI Society as a first-year representative
-
Attended numerous AI Society events
-
Been a regular participant at tutorials
-
Conducted research at Nexus Labs.
Having experience with various functions of the AI Society, I am confident that I can continue to facilitate its smooth operation as Head of Operations. Furthermore, I believe I am suited for the role of Head of Operations because I value both organization and collaboration. My strong organizational skills will ensure that I can efficiently oversee all of AI Society’s functions, while my collaborative nature will allow me to communicate effectively with other departments.
As Head of Operations, I will also strive to improve certain aspects of the AI Society. Primarily, I want to support the creation of more student-led startups for Foundry and provide greater opportunities for others to contribute to these startups. Additionally, I aim to help plan more hackathons and AI career insight events.
Vote for me, and I will ensure that the AI Society operates seamlessly next year while also expanding and improving its functions. I am truly excited about the opportunity to contribute to AI Society with this role.

Hi everyone! My name is Migle, and I’m currently spending my year abroad at Northwestern University, near Chicago, before returning to UCL as a Final Year Arts and Sciences student.
AI Society has shaped my time at UCL. Joining as a First Year Representative and later as a Welfare Officer not only inspired me to focus my academic and career path on Artificial Intelligence but also connected me with an amazing community of curious, interesting, and kind like-minded people with whom I loved learning and sharing experiences.
Now, I want to create this same amazing experience of learning, engaging with AI for all UCL students. That’s why I’m running for Head of Operations – to ensure our initiatives are engaging, accessible, and run smoothly by focusing on strong team management, efficient processes, and creative ways of working.
My experience within the society over the years has allowed me to discover the best practices for organizing teams and logistics. I’m particularly excited about the cross-functional nature of this role, where I’d be able to apply the skills I’ve gained working at the intersection of AI and healthcare in a startup, AI and finance, fashion through my professional internships in London and Chicago.
Having experienced ways of working in both the US and UK, I hope to bring adaptability, fresh perspectives, strong organizational skills, and a deep passion for AI to UCL AI Society – creating a space where everyone can learn about AI, no matter their starting point.
