Art Business Society: President

Hi everyone! I am Lauren, the current External Relations Officer of the UCL Art Business Society. I'm happy to announce that I'm running to be President of ABS for 2025/26! First of all, thanks for the enthusiasm and interest you have shown at our events this year. My aim as President is to harness ABS's network of alumnae and professionals to help you develop the knowledge and tools you need to embark on a career in the art market ( plus have fun in the process!) .

I hope to diversify our external collaborations even more. Not only am I focused on organising exclusive tours like the Christie's Pre-Sale Tour, but I also plan to expand our flagship Mentorship Scheme and recruit more mentors. My goal is to help more ABS members receive personalised guidance on charting their careers in the art market. As the liaison officer for the Mentorship Scheme this year, I am thrilled that many of you applied for the Scheme and have found your mentors insightful and engaging. Our "In Conversation With" series was also a success this year, and I hope to host more speakers from prominent organisations like The Fine Art Group, the Art Loss Register and Sotheby's.

Lastly, vote for more socials and opera visits! It's been so much fun getting to know you guys at our Christmas Party and the Freshers' Social. I'm looking forward to furthering the fantastic legacy of this year's committee and bringing our society to greater heights.
