Art Business Society: External Relations Officer

The art world is founded upon connections, and external relations reach the core mission of this society - to connect and explore. I know how important networking is to you, because of how important it is to me. One of the most inspiring aspects of our Art Business Society is its ability to foster connections: between clubs, with other societies and of course with the greater art world. Whilst I have connected with so many amazing people during my time in artbussoc, it is the club’s external relations that have really been a stepping stone for me and a guide. Guest speakers have motivated me to consider career options I’ve never encountered before, guided tours and gallery hops exposed me to new perspectives and especially the mentorship program with my Christie’s mentor, who provided me with opportunities I would otherwise never have experienced. Being a yapper and self-proclaimed social butterfly, I hope to build this kind of relations between our club members and the greater community through maintaining current partnerships, nurturing new ones and hopefully expanding more globally, in order to provide us with the very best networking there is - so that when we step out into the art world, it will be a community of familiar names and faces.
