I am running for this role because I realise how important it is to create events with a well-designed atmosphere for a society that is so attentive to visual beauty.
Having spent the past academic year as a member of ABS, I have noticed how thorough the society is when it comes to organising and executing events. During my time on the committee, I plan to adopt this meticulous approach and create events that leave an experience worth sharing and remembering with like-minded people. Making sure you leave an evening at a gallery, auction house, Mayfair, lecture theatre or opera with as stimulating an aftertaste as I did this year is my main priority.
With my passion for keeping up to date with the ever-changing art market, along with my experience as Junior Manager at Garage Museum, I believe I can continue making the Art Business Society a hub of relevant knowledge, early career support, valuable friendships (!) and connections at university.
See you at the gallery!

I'm standing for Events Officer because I enjoy bringing people together through art in ways that feel exciting, welcoming, and a little unexpected. In 2023, I organised an independent zine and print fair to spotlight student artists overlooked by the more popular official shows. I transformed a classroom into a pop-up gallery and shop, ran DIY workshops, and secured support from local businesses. Over 150 people attended, and it showed me the impact creative, well-run events can have.
Since coming to UCL, I’ve interned with a curator focused on emerging artists and cross-cultural collections, where I learnt to communicate across teams, stay calm under pressure, and problem-solve quickly. I also saw how the best events make people feel involved, not just present.
I want to support and expand what the Art Business Society already does so well by introducing new formats like mock auctions, skill workshops (such as how to fill out condition reports), or collaborative exhibition-building. I’m full of ideas and more than willing to do the hands-on work to bring them to life.
