I am standing for the position of Vice President because I am deeply invested in the interdisciplinary nature of psychedelic studies. The exploration of psychedelics extends beyond neuroscience and psychology, touching on a wide array of disciplines and perspectives. As a master’s student in intellectual history at UCL from a non-traditional background, I believe SAP should be a space that encourages engagement from students across all fields, fostering an environment where diverse approaches to psychedelic studies are welcomed and valued.

As Vice President, I aim to support and expand SAP’s initiatives by helping to organise events, discussions, and collaborations that reflect the breadth of psychedelic inquiry. My academic and personal interests in the history of philosophy shape my understanding of psychedelics, particularly in relation to questions surrounding the nature of reality and the unconscious. I see psychedelic studies as inherently interdisciplinary, drawing from esoteric thought, phenomenology, and intellectual history while integrating social and cultural dimensions.

Beyond coordination, I want to ensure SAP remains an open and intellectually vibrant community—a space where students from all backgrounds feel encouraged to explore psychedelics through their own unique lenses. By fostering collaboration and dialogue across disciplines, I hope to contribute to SAP’s mission and help shape a society that is as expansive and inclusive as the field itself.
