I am applying for the role of Vice President as I want to help the ACS continue to be a space where students feel connected and celebrated. I am eager to contribute to its success by fostering unity, celebrating our culture, and creating meaningful opportunities. My leadership experience as a Senior Equity Prefect and Student Ambassador has equipped me with the skills to promote inclusivity, organise impactful events, and represent the voices of a diverse student body.

I will focus on strengthening our society in three key areas: cultural representation, community engagement, and professional development. I would introduce new initiatives to strengthen our community and enhance the ACS experience. One key idea is a buddy program, pairing first-year students with older students to provide guidance and encouragement as they transition into university life. Additionally, I aim to create more networking opportunities, collaborating with professionals and alumni to offer mentorship and career insights across various fields, including STEM. I also hope to expand our cultural and social events, including heritage celebrations, cultural showcases, and a food tasting cook-off, where members can showcase and enjoy authentic African and Caribbean cuisine. These initiatives would not only celebrate our diverse traditions but also bring our community together in a fun way.

My goal is to work alongside the executive team to make ACS even more engaging, supportive, and empowering.
