Ella Newman

I’m Ella, I have been part of the Yoga and Meditation Society since Sept 2023. I have loved how inclusive and welcoming everyone has been in the society! It has made me really enjoy practicing yoga with other people and not just online classes at home.

I understand how intimidating it can be to go to your first Yoga session so I wanted to apply to become the committee’s Welfare Officer. I hope to support new and existing members of the society so they can really achieve all the society and the practice has to offer.

As a part of the committee I would be able to answer questions any members may have or direct you to the appropriate person to talk to, whether it is yoga related or about life at UCL in general. I will make an effort to work with the other members to ensure that everyone feels welcome and included in classes and in socials.

I hope to continue the friendly community by being a familiar face that anyone feels they can approach either in person or through a quick text.

Vaidehi Kadhane

Hi everyone!

My name is Vaidehi, and I am thrilled to apply for the position of Welfare Officer for our Yoga and Meditation Club. My experience in fostering community and promoting well-being makes me a strong candidate for this role.

As a dedicated yoga and meditation practitioner, I understand the importance of mental and physical health in our daily lives. I believe that our club plays a crucial role in promoting these aspects of wellness within our university community.

In my previous role as a Marketing Officer for UCL Malyali Society, I have demonstrated my ability to connect with people and create a sense of community. As your Welfare Officer, I will use these skills to ensure that all members feel supported and heard.

I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all club members. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our club is a place where everyone can explore the benefits of yoga and meditation, regardless of their experience level.

Thank you for considering my application. I am excited about the possibility of serving our club and promoting the well-being of our members. :)
