Hi! I'm Kymie, and I hope you'll vote me to be your Communications Officer! :)

Although I am a 2nd year BA Linguistics student, I only joined our community this academic year! While I've always wanted to attend one of our many wonderful yoga classes, the idea of joining a new community seemed incredibly daunting to me, and I was hesitant about whether I would be able to keep up with the classes. However, since joining, I have realised the support and kindness that exists in our society, among both the members and instructors, and this has further driven my passion to enhance out collective experience!

As Communications Officer, my primary focus will be on enhancing the flow of information within our yoga society to ensure every member feels informed, engaged, and connected. In addition to assessing and possibly refining our current communication channels, I plan to gather insights from members about their preferences and suggestions. This will help tailor our communication strategy to better meet the needs of our community, encouraging more active participation and dialogue. Additionally, I hope to cultivate a sense of belonging and community spirit. Your vote for me as Communications Officer is a vote towards a more inclusive, supportive, and connected community!

Hello!

I joined Yoga Society out of curiosity for the sport and never imaged I would grow to love yoga classes so much. As such, I would like to play a more active role for the society and am running to be your Communications Officer.

I have past committee experiences at UCL (Diplomacy & Business) and understand how societies work in tandem with the SU. I am a responsible and responsive individual, so rest assured that the weekly booking codes will be sent on time!

Feel free to discuss more by dropping me an email at [email protected] :)

I think we could really develop our weekly newsletter to better reflect the growing community! It could be used to shout out people on any achievements, let them know about yoga events going on in London, or maybe as a space for yoga families to catch each other up on stuff they've been doing on top of what it currently does.

I've got some experience with student journalism and could lend the time to it. I know in a big society fostering connections can be a little tricky, so this might help promote it a little!
