Tennis Club (RUMS): Men's 1st Team Captain

I have had an innate passion for tennis since childhood. I enjoy the physical toughness of the game combined with the artistry one can exhibit when playing a high-quality game of tennis. Training with the RUMS Tennis squad is one of the highlights of my week and I enjoy the great community feeling that is created amongst the players. 

I would like to be the 1st Team Captain because I feel I am a responsible individual with strong leadership qualities. I believe that I would know how to optimally select the teams for each tennis match, and also how to motivate and uplift my team when required. 

Having played 1st Team tennis for the entirety of this academic year, I understand the quality of the games and the standard one needs to be playing at in order to succeed in matches. I would harness my match experience and ensure that I always give my maximum effort to the club. 

Furthermore, I have extensive experience in coaching and delivering tennis sessions, having been a part time tennis coach at my local club for over 4 years. I would employ this knowledge in order to lead engaging and structured tennis training sessions, focussed around technique-improving drills and match play scenarios.
