Marwan Yassini Chairi El Kamel

I'm Marwan, a computer science student passionate about sharing my lifelong interest in technology with everyone. As the current first-year representative for the society, I've gained valuable insights into the society's inner workings, equipping me to co-lead and support the president along with the future committee. Together, we aim to create an interactive, safe space for all technology enthusiasts to share their passion, regardless of their technical background. In addition to this role, I've previously held other technological leadership positions in secondary school, organising different events like small-scale hackathons and DIY Raspberry Pi workshops, which were widely enjoyed by my cohort!

So... why even vote for me?

As I mentioned earlier, my experience as the first-year representative and my involvement with the workshops team have given me a deep insight into how our society operates. Becoming vice-president would allow me to further coordinate society activities and contribute ideas shaping our society's bright future! I've helped organise events such as the widely enjoyed Bloomberg BPuzzled Challenge. I believe it's events like these, where students from different disciplines come together to tackle technological challenges, that truly bring out Tech Soc's most unique qualities. Going forward as (hopefully) the vice-president of the society, I aim to nurture a culture of inclusivity and curiosity, organising diverse events and broadening our society's scope. :D
