Surgical Society: Vascular Surgery Chair

I am passionate about vascular surgery and have experience within surgical society, my previous role being Academic Surgery Chair. I introduced regular events on research and career application and a research database, matching students to project supervisors, as well as continuing projects such as VASC. 

As vascular surgery chair, I aim to continue the current work done and grow this often overlooked position.

My aims:

• Improve networks with vascular surgeons to increase visibility of the specialty
• Build on the vascular systematic review collaborative by making projects available to students
• Increased collaboration with other specialty chairs for events such as by running workshops at conference
• Increase vascular's representation in the preclinical shadowing scheme
