Surgical Society: Treasurer

I want to be treasurer because I am passionate about surgical society and want to be directly involved in making events happen. I think it's such an important society providing students with opportunities to interact with the amazing world of surgery. 

My previous experience

• This year I was welfare officer, I ran an art and anatomy event and was a point of contact for the members of the society. I got experience filling in student union forms while running my event.
• I worked closely with the current treasurer Nikita giving me great insight and preparation for this role
• I helped in planning the finances for the Surgical Society gala
• I am part of RUMS finance subcommittee and am involved with making the merch orders happen giving me a good idea of the operations I will need to implement for surgical society fleeces.

• I will be readily available and dedicate myself to this role
• I understand how demanding this role is and how vital it is to the success of the society and will rise to meet these demands

Future of Surgical Society

• I will help the growth of this society by liaising with SU to make sure conferences continue to happen and run successfully 
• I want to make the Surgical Society Gala an annual event
