Student Socialist Alternative Society: Treasurer

I'm Sumit Garai, a PhD student at the Crick Institute, and a postgrad at UCL biomedicine. I'm running for UCL Student Socialist Alternative Society Treasurer. Raised in India amid financial struggles and identifying as queer in a non-inclusive society, my intersectional perspective fuels my commitment to socialism. I pledge transparent financial stewardship, channeling funds into events that aim for inclusivity, education on socialist theories, and activism. Advocating for global socialist solidarity, my aim is to inculcate a culture where diversity thrives, fostering justice, equality, and collective well-being.
