Alex Dieguez Perez

Hi everyone! My name is Alex Dieguez and I am currently an ESPS student. Having always been very involved in school activities and events as a prefect and as the Events & Planning coordinator of the Student Council, I am keen to continue contributing to a positive academic environment, and by being able to promote my native language and culture, this is a position that I believe to be very well suited for. Throughout my academic career, I have learnt the importance of cooperation and time management. I find the prospect of being able to spread our culture and help others communicate in our language very exciting. Having been a member of this society myself for the past year, I am committed to continue to promote the language through organising the weekly classes as well as other educational events to offer the best possible experience for students in the society. I hope to be as of much help as I can to students and will also be encouraging them to practice their language skills. I believe it is essential to go beyond the academic when learning a language and I am committed to collaborating with other members of the society to organise events that will allow students to immerse themselves into our culture. I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this role as I myself am currently studying a language at university and understand the close attention that students require to maximise their understanding. All in all, I hope to help my peers and spread our culture at UCL.
